In 2003, a team of translators, editors, web designers and programmers discovered that they could best serve their clients by creating a company whose focus was quality translation and localization services. The translation team split from the website design, software application and documentation teams to create the quality services that became Same Day Translations.

Built on a foundation of the medical, information technology and financial services industries, Same Day Translations delivers quality language services to a wide variety of industries and organizations including government, education, manufacturing and more. We work with over 500 translators in dozens of languages. Our translators are native speakers of the target language who are familiar with the specific industry involved.

Same Day Translations’ goal is to help our clients communicate effectively within the world-wide marketplace. We pride ourselves on our cultural appropriateness and trusted quality in a timeframe that works best for our clients’ needs.

File exchange
You provide Same Day Translations with the documents, software or media electronically. Same Day Translations accepts electronic files using our Get a Free Quote form – if you have more than one file, simply zip the files together into one file – via email or other transfer services (e.g., Dropbox, WeTransfer, Google Drive, etc.). We’re pretty flexible.

Need Translation of a Paper Document?
No problem. There are several apps (e.g., Adobe Scan) that allow you to make high-quality scans of your documents. If you would prefer, we are happy to scan your documents at our office. Once we have the scan, in most cases, we can easily convert it into an editable format that makes translation possible.

Quote
Same Day Translations is happy to provide a quote for your translation project based on the following criteria:

• Language service(s) needed: Does the project require translation, machine translation, machine translation with (human) post-editing, full localization or high-volume transcription?
• Scope analysis: Does the project include just text? Do images need to be localized? The scope of the project is determined by analyzing the project scope and needed deliverables.
• Per project vs. retainer: Same Day Translations will send you a per-project quote or set-up an ongoing retainer for continual services. Please specify in your quote request which type of arrangement works best for your organization.

Translation
All translations are performed by native speakers of the target language who are experienced in the industry and/or subject matter of the project. Our experienced translators transition from one language to the next, carefully preserving nuance and accuracy in your document, audio file or video.

Review
Unless instructed otherwise by the client (i.e., the client understands the pros and cons), all translations go through at least one translation pass and one review pass. Reviewers look at both the source text and the target text to verify correct meaning and assure proper spelling and grammar.

Proofreading
Proofreading is an optional (although highly recommended for professional results) next step in the Same Day Translations process, performed by a native speaker that reads the target language only for fluency and readability. The native proofreading step ensures that the translation reads and conveys meaning as if it were originally written in the target language.

Target language and functional QA pass (for software only)
Quality assurance of physical and software products is performed by experienced software testers who are fluent in both the source and target languages. Same Day Translations testers are also native speakers of either the source or target language and experienced in the same industry or subject matter of the product concerned.

Do you need a birth certificate or marriage certificate translated for immigration purposes or to get a driver’s license or ID?

We do NOT need the original hard copy (paper) file(s). We can translate anything you send us electronically. We simply certify (notarize) the document(s) you send us.

We can provide both hard copies and electronic versions of the translations. Most US Government agencies (USCIS, DMV, etc.) require certified/notarized hard copies of the translations. Both are stamped by us and cannot be edited (secure PDF).

We provide fast services, often within the same day. Ideally, you give us overnight to translate a birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc. And if needed, we can even speed things up with a “rush” fee. It’s not much, but can help you get your translations even faster.
